Byron Harrison

Date of birth

Experienced striker Byron Harrison joined the Bees ahead of the 2018-19 season after leaving fellow National League side Barrow.

The front-man began his career at Havant and Waterlooville in 2005 where he made over 20 appearances in his first and only season with the club.

Harrison played for Worthing, Boreham Wood, Harrow Borough, Ashford Town and Carshalton before making the step-up to the EFL in 2011. He signed for League Two side Stevenage on a free transfer, helping the club clinch promotion in his debut season. However, after one season in League One, he returned to England’s fourth division, signing for AFC Wimbledon and becoming their record signing.

After two seasons with the Dons, he played for Cheltenham and Chesterfield before returning to Stevenage on loan in 2015 where it proved to be his most recent stint in the Football League.

Harrison was released by Chesterfield ahead of the 2016-17 campaign before making the switch to National League side Barrow. He bagged 27 goals in 56 appearances for The Bluebirds before joining Sutton United on loan for the back end of last season where he helped them to a play-off finish.

It was a positive end to the previous campaign for Harrison but he will undoubtedly try and go one better with the Bees next season.
