Signing his first professional deal in the summer of 2015, Fumnaya Shomotun is an attacking midfielder who started his trade at Brentford, before joining the academy in 2014.

He came off the bench in his first Barnet appearance during a 2-0 win away at Dagenham and Redbridge. With his versatility allowing him to play in a number of positions such as striker, central attacking midfield or even on the right-wing, it was on the right-wing that he got his first professional goal for The Bees against Hartlepool in May 2016.

With loan moves away to Staines Town and Margate helping his development, he’s hoping he can add to his tally of 24 appearances and one goal during next campaign. The 21-year-old is certain someone to keep an eye on.
