Date of birth
Jack Taylor was a member of Chelsea’s youth academy from 2005 until 2012, where he and his brother Harry joined Barnet. The younger of the two Taylor’s, he graduated from the youth system in the summer of 2016, soon going on loan to Hampton and Richmond Borough until December.
Jack found himself getting many first-team opportunities alongside his brother last season, making 15 appearances including his Barnet debut; playing 90 minutes against Norwich U23’s in the Checkatrade Trophy.
One of the main reasons Jack stands out from many youth prospects is his versatility to play in many positions, he can play across the whole midfield and has been known to drop deeper to right-back if needed, despite naturally being a central midfielder.
After getting his first professional goal (and the winner) against Luton Town earlier this season, there are big things ahead for the youngster and Taylor himself will certainly be hoping to force his way into Rossi Eames’ plans permanently and prove why he is such a big prospect at the club.
