A versatile Portuguese playmaker, Mauro Vilhete has made just shy of 200 appearances for The Bees since graduating from the youth academy in 2010, scoring 17 goals across nine seasons with the club.
Born in 1993, the 25-year-old has been at Barnet since the start of his career and has been local to London throughout, having loan spells at Hendon and three at Boreham Wood.
Dropping in and out of the team between 2010 and 2013, it was the Conference where Vilhete really started to make a name for himself in a Barnet shirt, helping the club back to the Football League with promotion in the 14/15 season. He finally became a solid player in the Football League in the 2016-17 season, playing a part in 40 out of 46 League Two fixtures.
Vilhete made a further 32 league appearance last campaign, netting three goals and will be hoping to maintain his importance to the team under John Still next season.
