With experience at Wigan, Everton and Leicester, Ryan Watson signed for Barnet in the summer of 2016 following a couple of loan spells at Northampton Town. Playing 22 games in all competitions last season, Watson can play in several positions including central midfield, defensive midfield and on the right wing, where he made his debut against Cambridge in August 2016.
His inspired performance against Yeovil Town in March 2017 saw him get his first goal for The Bees directly from a free-kick. An assist in the same game from defensive midfield showed his versatility, showing the Barnet faithful just what he can do when given a chance.
He helped Northampton to the League Two title in 2016.
