It’s never too late to realise your dream of footballing stardom by signing up for one of our hugely popular player trials!

At Barnet FC we provide new opportunities for talented players who may have slipped through the traditional recruitment net.

We host our trials throughout the season, split into three age group categories and open to all players:

– Under-9 to Under-14 (players will be aligned to appropriate age group)
– Under-16 and Under-18 (players will be aligned to appropriate age group).
– 18 and over.

We are also pleased to announce the following changes that we hope will add to the trialists’ experience on the day:

– Online registration
– New numbering system for all players to be easily identified
– New trial format covering technical and tactical game elements
– New scoring system
– Trialist will receive successful/unsuccessful feedback within a week

Furthermore, we welcome your feedback! We sincerely hope you enjoy your experience – but, if there is anything we can do to improve, please let us know. There is a clear feedback/grievance procedure available on our website when you register for a trial.

We will also be running a series of elite development trials delivered in partnership with Canons High School.

Other than being recommended by one of the club’s official scouts, we will ONLY consider trials through our application process.

Trials will be held at The Hive, Camrose Avenue, London HA8 6AG. Times and dates for specific age groups will be announced in due course.

Our trials have been running for the last five seasons and below are just a few of our success stories:

– 2011-12 season: Three trialists registered for the Barnet FC Academy.
– 2012-13 season: One Under-16 trialist offered a scholarship, one Under-21 trialist represented the Academy side in a number of Premier League Category Two Under-21 matches.
– 2013-14 season: One Under-12 player signed two-year registration with the Academy.
– 2014-15 season: Two Under-13 trialists signed by the Academy after impressing in the open trials held that autumn.
– 2016-17 season: One player signed full-time forms with the Academy following open trials.

Well done to all of those players – you could be next! Good luck from everyone at Barnet FC!
