ABDULLA MAKES IT 3 SIGNINGS IN 1 DAY

Barnet FC can announcetheir third signing of the day with the news that 20-year-old defensive midfielder Ahmed Abdulla has signed for the Bees this evening. Ahmed has seen League 2 action with Swindon Town and Dagenham & Redbridge last season and has previously been on the books of West Ham United.
On signing Ahmed told barnetfc.com,"I’m relieved! It’s good to know where I’m going to be for the next couple of years so hopefully I can get settled and just crack on and play!I want to get games and establish myself as a hard-working, ball-playing midfielder."
Ahmed is another player who has been impressed with the plans that the Head Coach has been outlining to prospective signings when he said,"I’ve got to say, it was Mark Robson who won me over. We spoke for a while about the future of the club and the team and the direction that he wanted to take us and I knew that I wanted to sign for the club.
"I know that other players have come in that knew him from before, and I didn’t. But he’s seen me play and he knows what I can do, and hopefully he has a strong belief in me. I’m looking forward to impressing here."
His grounding in the game at Arsenal and at West Ham seems to have left its mark when Ahmed states, "Arsenal and West Ham are both sides who instil a ‘footballing nature’into you. They’re all about playing football and learning total football at the highest level. In some respects, Swindon was like this too, so my style should fit in well.
"But as Dagenham, it was totally different! So I like to think my time there, learning a different style of football, helped me improve my all-round game and I’ll use all this to bring to Barnet.
"I’m a ball playing midfielder – I like to get on the ball and pass it around -something I’ve learnt from my youth days. Being brought up playing total football will definitely help with this. I really want the fans to enjoy watching me play and I want to do well for them and the rest of the lads," enthused Ahmed.
