Tanashe Abrahams has joined South African Premier League outfit Mamelodi Sundowns on a two-month loan. 

The youngster, who is nominated for this month’s LFE goal of the month award, will no doubt benefit from playing regular, first-team football. 

Academy manager James Thorn believes the exciting opportunity was simply too good to turn down. 

“An exciting and unique opportunity came up for one of our scholars to go out on loan abroad and having worked out all the logistics we felt it was too good an opportunity for Tanashe to turn down. 

“The chance to go and experience a different style of football in a different culture is one that not enough English players take.

“Their football development continues but they get an excellent life experience which will stand them in good stead for the future both on and off the pitch.”
