The last game before Santa comes calling sees the Bees travel to bottom club Hyde. I for one am looking forward to heading up to Greater Manchester (weather permitting) this weekend to see Barnet in action before the huge game against Luton on Boxing Day. What a game that promises to be. With the Hatters having sold out their away allocation it’s set to be a cracking atmosphere.
But before the challenge of taking on the 2nd placed team in the league the Bees must travel North to face a side battling at the wrong end of the table. Let’s not forget Hyde scored two cracking goals at the Hive and were lucky not to claim a draw having clawed their way back from 2-0 down in a 5 goal thriller. Hyde, like any team in this division are not to be taken lightly. So Edgar Davids’ side will have to be at their best to claim the 3 points.
No doubt there will be time to look forward to the game against the Hatters over some Christmas Day turkey, but whatever result we get against Luton, failing to pick up 3 points at Hyde could undoubtedly take the gloss of it. And with Jake Hyde returning, possibly even starting the game at Ewen Fields, surely the headlines are already written for Jakey to make a telling contribution against the Tigers on Saturday… Come on you Bees!
