Barnet FC pledges support for our Eastern European neighbours and will look to hire Ukrainian refugees through the recently announced Government Humanitarian Sponsorship Pathway.
Club Spokesman Daniel Martin said,
“The Home Office’s announcement is an important step in helping Ukrainians fleeing war and entering the UK. When it goes live, this initiative will need a huge amount of support and we are ready to step up. We will offer them accommodation if needed as well as work within our organisation.”
Chairman of Barnet FC Tony Kleanthous said,
“Our Club is ready to offer as much support as possible and I can further assist through my wider group of companies. We do not want to get into the politics of war – we just want to help and this Government programme opens the door for us to be able to do so.”
Our hearts go out to the citizens of Ukraine and our thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by this devastating conflict.
