Barnet Football Club have appealed Edgar Davids’ red card against Accrington Stanley on the grounds of mistaken identity.

The Dutchman received a second yellow card following a coming together between himself, Elliot Johnson and an Accrington Stanley player.

The incident happened quickly and in an extremely close situation, due to this the player and club believe the wrong player was cautioned and subsequently sent off.
