BEES HEAD FOR THE COAST (AGAIN)

Barnet take on Southend United at Roots Hall still looking for their first victory of the season and with last season’s 3-0 reversal at Roots Hall still fresh in the memories of the large travelling contingent of fans who made the relatively short trip to the coast, this will clearly be a difficult place for the Bees to get the campaign truly underway.
Graham Stack who was suspended for Tuesday’s night game against Exeter City has served his one match ban and Head Coach Mark Robson has said: “Graham was playing well until his sending off at Fleetwood and had made some important saves.
“His ban is now over and he is obviously back in contention to start.”
He added, “We go into this local derby looking for this elusive first win of the season and I’m looking for a spirited and determined performance in a positive display.
“Given how the season has gone so far I can assure everyone that the players are even more determined to come away from the game with the three points.”
International clearance issues still surround the first appearance of the Dutch international Collins John and Mark Robson said after the Exeter game on Tuesday that he was hopeful that John could be involved in Saturday’s fixture.
Mark Robson concludes, “We have come close in our previous matches to winning, but we don’t want to keep saying that we have come close, we actually want something to show for our efforts. There have been good spells in matches and good individual performances. Clearly we are looking to put this all together in our next match.”
