Campbell-Ryce arrives at The Hive!

Barnet Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of experienced forward Jamal Campbell-Ryce.

Campbell-Ryce, who can play either as a winger or a striker, arrives on a free transfer having left Sheffield United this summer.

The 33-year-old has played for 11 Football League clubs throughout his career, including Charlton Athletic, Leyton Orient and Rotherham United.

He played over 50 games for Southend United in the 2006-07 season, before moving to Championship side Barnsley for an undisclosed fee.

The Lambeth-born forward made 100 appearances for the Tykes during two and a half years with the club, scoring 13 goals.

Campbell-Ryce’s good form prompted fellow Championship team Bristol City to bring him to Ashton Gate in January 2010.

He played 65 times before signing for League One Notts County, where the tricky winger found the net on 11 occasions in 80 matches.

His performances at Meadow Lane impressed Sheffield United manager Nigel Clough, who signed him for the Blades in May 2014.

Everyone at Barnet FC would like to welcome Jamal to The Hive and hope that he enjoys a successful season with the Bees!
