Barnet Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of centre-back, Reiss Greenidge on a season long loan from Bolton Wanderers.
Â
The big centre-half joins the Bees on a season-long loan from the League One side with a view to a permanent move. To date, Greenidge has made five appearances for the Trotters.
Â
The 6’6 defender will add plenty of presence to the backline and has played for the likes of Port Vale, Ipswich Town and Ebbsfleet United. Greenidge has also tasted first-team football in Norway playing top-flight football for Sogndal, whilst also representing Guyana on the international stage.Â
Â
The Enfield born centre-back makes the move closer to home and will look to compete with the Bees other three centre backs, Ben Richards-Everton, Ben Nugent, as well as new signing, Jamie Turley. Greenidge becomes the Bees 11th signing of the summer ahead of the new National League campaign. Â
Â
The defender originally came through the ranks in Arsenal’s academy, before making a switch to West Brom where he played matches within their academy.Â
Â
During his career, our newest recruit also gained experience of National League football, having spent time at Hemel Hempstead Town for two seasons.Â
Â
Speaking on his arrival at The Hive London, the 25-year-old said:
“I am happy to be here and I look forward to coming in helping the team, getting some wins and pushing to get the Club back where they belong. I just want to play as many games as possible, gets as many wins as possible, keep clean sheets and maybe get a few goals as well! It’s all about the team and I just want to help the team win.
“When I heard what the Club wanted to do this year, I knew it was the right place for me to come and try to help the team. I am looking forward to getting some games and playing in front of fans again.”
We’re delighted to welcome Reiss to the Club and wish him well for the season ahead!Â

The deal is subject to the usual football regulatory processes.Â
