Every Word from Callum Reynolds

On the performance

“We’re coming off disappointed with a draw, which is a good thing. Earlier in the season, we would’ve taken a draw and a 0-0. It’s the first clean sheet for quite a while as well, so we’ve got to take the positives.

“They had a go at home – their home form has been good this season so it was probably a fair result in the end.”

On the defensive display

“Defensively, today was very pleasing. I’m pleased to get the clean sheet but obviously, it’s not just me, it’s the boys around me. H and Els either side of me, Loach behind and the boys in front, stopping it getting to that point.”

On THAT header

“It was a bit behind me so I didn’t get a proper contact – I kind of glanced it rather than headed it. I didn’t get enough on it but it would’ve been nice to top off the performance and coming back here, but it wasn’t to be.”

On the defensive partnerships

“I enjoy it. They’re (H Taylor and Johnson) both top players, top boys and they’re honest lads. They’re as good defenders as you’re going to get in this league.

“We’re working well together, good as a unit and going forward we’re comfortable on the ball.”

On not losing

“We’ve got a good bit of momentum with the form we’re in and we’re still unbeaten, so we keep that going today. It’s going to be another tough game New Year’s Day at Boreham Wood, so if we can come away from that with something then that will be a positive.”

On Boreham Wood

“They’re in a good position. I’m not sure how they did today, but they’re in a good position in the league. They’re a solid team, they work hard as a minimum and they’ve got a couple of boys up-front now that are getting the goals so it’s never going to be easy playing against them.

“Especially the extra spice of it being a derby as well so I’m looking forward to it.”
