Born in Dunboyne, Meath, Josh represented St Kevin’s Boys, Shelbourne and Belvedere in his early years before joining St Pat’s aged 15, where he won league titles at Under-15, Under-17 and Under-19 levels in their youth set-up. A regular name on their first team bench from the end of 2020, Josh made his senior debut for St Pat’s against Bray Wanderers in the FAI Cup in July, 2021, before making his league debut against Finn Harps that November. In the 2021/22 season, he got a taste of the Under-19 UEFA Youth League, featuring in a two-legged tie against Red Star Belgrade. During his time at the Dublin-based side, he was coached by Patrick Jennings, son of legendary former goalkeeper Pat Jennings. Josh joined Tottenham Hotspur at the start of the 2022/23 season and after quickly linking up with their first team squad for the Club’s pre-season tour of South Korea, was a regular between the sticks for their Under-21s in the first half of the campaign.
