BARNET FOOTBALL CLUB ANNOUNCES OFFICIAL PARTNERSHIP WITH HENDON HOSPITAL

Hendon Hospital, part of Circle Health Group, have become our Official Medical Cryotherapy.

The partnership will see the 17-bed private hospital supporting the Club with cryotherapy and anti-gravity treadmill consultations and sessions for the 2023/24 and 2024/25 seasons.

The private hospital situated on Sunny Gardens Road, will be on hand to support the first team with specialist services from the hospital’s highly specialised doctors and physiotherapy team.

Hendon Hospital has been operating since the early 1970’s at the heart of the community in Barnet; treating patients who chose to pay for themselves, are insured or referred by the NHS.

Commenting on the partnership, Stephen Wright, Executive Director of Hendon Hospital, said:

“It is great to partner with Barnet FC as we have enjoyed a successful relationship with the Club over many years.  We are well situated to help support the needs of the Club and its players. Our new physiotherapy department opened last year and includes equipment pioneered by NASA. The AlterG® treadmill is one of the first of its kind to arrive in the UK and will give the Club fast access to the treatment they need.

“Staff and doctors across the hospital admire the history and ethos of the Club. We share similar aims and ambitions, given our roles in the community and for that reason we are delighted to be supporting them this season.”

The new equipment at the hospital includes advanced technology such as the AlterG® Anti-Gravity Treadmill. The treadmill uses differential air-pressure technology first developed by NASA and is now used by physiotherapists to reduce stress on injuries and joints in the lower body. This equipment will be particularly useful for the Barnet FC players.

It helps patients to rehabilitate and ultimately recover safely with less pain and reduce the risk of re-injury. This is the first time advanced physiotherapy technology and equipment like this has been available in Hendon.

As well as supporting the players, Hendon Hospital will also have physical branding at The Hive Stadium in Canons Park.

The team at Hendon Hospital intend to be regulars at The Hive, attending league matches and supporting the Club at events throughout the year.
