Academy manager Henry Newman was full of praise for Barnet’s Under-18s as they were knocked out of the FA Youth Cup 3-1 at the hands of Luton Town on Tuesday evening.
The young Bees were given the chance to go ahead when Ephron Mason-Clark was felled inside the penalty area. Mason-Clark took the penalty himself but dragged his kick wide of the left-hand post.
However, Greg Adinna nodded Barnet in front on 27 minutes only for Luton to level shortly after through George Murray. The Hatters midfielder got a second after the break before Freddie Hinds wrapped up the win late on.
