Jamie Turley retires through injury

We can confirm that Jamie Turley has departed the club by mutual agreement after retiring from professional football through injury.

Turley represented the likes of Forest Green Rovers, Eastleigh, Notts County and Leyton Orient before arriving at The Hive London last summer.

During his 13-year senior career, Turley was named England C’s Player of the Season in 2013 and won the Vanarama National League with Leyton Orient in 2019.

The 32-year-old defender made over 300 career appearances since making his debut for Salisbury City in 2009 and scored close to 20 goals in the process.

Jamie Turley said: “I would like to thank the Bees fans for your support and am disappointed that you never got to see the best of me.

“Please continue to get behind the team because they are a really enthusiastic group who want nothing but success for Barnet FC.

“I wish the club and everyone affiliated with it the very best of luck for the future.”

We would like to thank Jamie for his efforts whilst with the Bees and wish him all the best moving forward.
