JCR – “Our performance was so below par”

Speaking exclusively to Barnet’s YouTube Channel, JCR put the blame fully in the corner of the players and defended under fire manager Kevin Nugent.
“I feel embarrassed. Our performance was so below par. All the work that the Gaffer’s put us through on the training field. He gave us all the right prep.”
“I feel more sorry for the Gaffer then anything. The players are to blame.
We’ve got to take full responsibility. He can’t cross the white line with us.”
The winger was visibly upset at his teams performance and their lack of wins since Nugent took over.
“We should have at least four wins since he’s been in charge. We’ve let him down. It’s a disgusting performance. We as the players have to pull together and do much much better.”
Jamal emphasised that the squad has to self analyse and take responsibility in order to move on quickly and prepare for Cheltenham with a fresh mindset.
“We have to rally round. We’ve got a really young squad. The senior boys have to start digging people out when they’re not doing their jobs. No excuses. After that performance, the Gaffer has every right to change all 11 players. It just wasn’t good enough.”
JCR sympathised with the fans who watched the sides 1-0 loss and shared in their annoyance.
“I feel their frustration. 100%. I’m as frustrated as them. At one stage we were pushing for the playoffs. We’ve shot ourselves in the foot so many times.”
That said, JCR was sure the squad could re-group and get going again for Saturday.
“We have to. There’s no point in feeling sorry for ourselves. We have to dust ourselves down and go again.”
