Kevin Nugent – “They’ve got strengths in different areas.”

Two wonderful goals from Akinola and Campbell-Ryce have given the side confidence that their first win in five is just around the corner.
“I was so pleased to see Sim get his first goal. Hopefully that will give him a real lease of life.
And obviously Jamal had a good game and got that goal as well.”
With Yeovil sat four points behind the Bees, it’s certainly a game that the gaffer feels his side can win, but knows it won’t be easy.
“Once again it’ll be a tough game. We’ve certainly got to match their work rate. We’ve got to continue creating chances and keep it tighter at the back.”
Kevin was full of praise for the attitude of his players, not just for Saturday’s comeback, but since he took over.
“The performances have been good. The lads are giving it every single thing they’ve got at the moment.”
In regards to the lack of wins, Kevin believes more time on the training pitch is the answer.
“All you can do is work harder. Analysing and trying to find solutions why we’re not getting those wins is the way to move forward.”
“Our players have League One and Championship games in them. We’ve got to make sure we get a consistency towards that.”
Now more settled in to the football club, Kevin is enjoying the opportunity to learn about his players and expects to use more of them moving forward.
“Now that I’ve been here for five games I’m getting to know the others lads so there’s a possibility of shuffling players around.”
“The structure of the football club is fantastic. The staff work tirelessly to do things right.
I’m finding my feet now and that will help to get us the three points we want.”
The fans will play a massive part on Wednesday night and Kevin was keen to encourage them to do so.
“Just keep believing. They’ve been fantastic since I’ve come in. They’ve backed the lads the whole time. It’s a young side, they that need encouragement.”
Wednesday nights game against Yeovil Town kicks off at 8pm here at The Hive.
