LAUNCH FOR MIND IN BARNET

Barnet FC Community Trust organised a player visit to launch the new home of Mind in Barnet on Thursday 18th July 2013.
Like Barnet FC, Mind experienced the relocation to a new venue and celebrated the event by inviting Barnet FC along.
Andi Paraskeva of Mind said, ‘We were so pleased to welcome Barnet FC to our new premises and appreciate all that you did to make sure that two players attended the event, as I know how busy your schedules must be.
Mark Byrne and David Stephens were just brilliant on the day, taking an interest in what we do and asking to be shown around the flats and building.
They were also willing to have photographs taken to help promote our charity and with some lucky  members of staff and clients, they could not of been more charming.
Having them attend really helped add to the success of the day and was gladly appreciated by all.
Barnet FC Community Trust delivers football, sport and multi skill sessions in partnerships with mental health agencies like Mind.
It’s widely acknowledged that physical activity and exercise release chemicals in your brain that make you feel good, and can also boost your self-esteem and help you concentrate, sleep, look and feel better.
Barnet FC Community Trust is dedicated to helping local agencies through the power and popularity of football.
Trust Manager Birtug Kazim said:
"Barnet FC is completely supportive of local agencies providing services to the community.
"However, if we can also raise awareness of some of the other areas of work Mind are engaged in, such as campaigning for change and to educate society on mental health issues, then we aim to work even more closely engaging with our partners."
