Barnet Football Club is delighted to announce that Laurie Walker has committed his future with the Club.
Walker quickly became a fan favourite at The Hive last season, with his crucial saves helping the Club qualify for the National League Play-Offs. Walker also helped the Club reach the FA Trophy semi-final with his penalty shootout heroics against Maidstone United.
His consistent performances throughout the season earned him the Supporters Player of the Season award.
Barnet FC Manager, Dean Brennan added: “We are delighted that Laurie (Walker) has committed his future to the Football Club.
“He was an essential part of the team last season. Laurie made season-defining saves and is one of the leaders in the dressing room. He will continue to be a key player at the Club.”
After agreeing his new deal, Laurie Walker said: “I’m absolutely delighted to get this new deal done.
“Everyone has made me feel so welcome since joining last summer. This Club really feels like home and I’m buzzing to get the new season started.”
The deal is subject to the usual regulatory processes. Walker’s new contract will come into effect on 01 July 2023.
