Barnet Football Club are pleased to announce the signing of Marciano Mengerink on a two-year-deal subject to international clearance. 

The Dutch forward has been training with the Bees for over a month and he first caught the eye with two goals in a training friendly win over Hemel Hempstead Town. 

This was followed up with another brace against Hitchin Town which included a stunning 25-yard volley before he got his third goal of the week against AEL Limassol. 

Mergerink joins from Dutch side SDV Barneveld who were recently managed by new Head of Coaching Dick Schreuder who knows the forward’s game inside out.

Schreuder also knows how to get the best out of the 23-year-old who scored 27 goals for SDVB last season.
