Match Preview | Aldershot Town

The Bees face Aldershot Town on Saturday afternoon at The Hive as they look to return to form.

After an impressive couple of months for Dean Brennan’s team, The Bees have suffered a small dip in form and will need The Hive to be buzzing in order to pick up a valuable 3 points.

Aldershot also head into the game having not won in 3 matches; Ross McNeilly’s team will be in search of a vital 3 points as they seek to climb further away from the relegation zone.

The two sides have met each other a total of 19 times, with both sides winning 8 times and the remaining 3 ending in the teams sharing the spoils.

After over 2 years away from coaching, the 39-year-old made a return with Woking. In a similar role to that of when he was at Sunderland, McNielly was appointed as a youth coach at the club. The coach was with Woking for nearly 3 years before once again taking a break from football.

In 2018 McNielly headed to Aldershot town as a manager of the club’s Under 19 team before being made caretaker manager of the first team in 2022. On December 5th 2022 McNielly was officially appointed as head coach of Aldershot Town.
