Phil Parkinson

 

Beginning his youth career at Crewe Alexandra, Phil Parkinson went on to play for Reading, Port Vale and Nantwich Town – a club he made around 200 appearances for.

 

Following his career as a professional player, Parkinson worked as a teacher and Sports Science lecturer.

 

Parkinson was appointed manager of Altrincham 2017 and in 2021 he signed on until the end of the 2023/24 season.

 

ONE TO WATCH

 

Dan Mooney

 

Born in Trafford, the 22-year-old developed his football career through Fleetwood Town’s academy, making his professional first team debut in 2017.

 

Mooney made appearances for both the Under 19 and Under 21 Wales teams in 2017 and 2019.

 

After two loan spells at Chorley and Chester, Mooney was recalled to Fleetwood for a final season. 

 

The midfielder then signed for Altrincham in 2020 for an undisclosed fee and has scored 11 league goals for the side this season.
