MATCH PREVIEW | BARNET FC V GATESHEAD

Looking to bounce back after last week’s loss, Barnet host Gateshead at The Hive this Saturday.

So, what’s the Buzz?
After losing 4-2 to Chesterfield, Dean Brennan’s side sit five points off the top. Despite this, The Bees will be as motivated as ever to chase Chesterfield down, and the first opportunity to do so will be against Gateshead.

Opposition Report
Gateshead have claimed seven points of their last 15 available, including a 6-0 win over Dorking last weekend. This featured a hat-trick from Billy Chadwick, and was their second 6-0 win of the season, the first being against Eastleigh back in September.

One of the highest-scoring teams in the league, Gateshead have scored 42 this season- an average of 2.3 per game, failing to score in only three league games so far.

One to Watch: Billy Chadwick
On loan from Stockport County, the 23-year-old’s hat-trick against Dorking won him a National League Team of the Week spot- this was his first start for Gateshead too. Starting at wing-back but stepping into the false-nine role, Chadwick has shone in recent weeks.

In the Dugout: Rob Elliot
Having spent nine years at Newcastle United as a goalkeeper, Elliot moved to Gateshead as the technical director after a short spell at Watford.

Registered as a first-team player, Elliot also took the role of caretaker manager in October after former manager Mike Williamson went to MK Dons. With the 6-0 win last weekend, Elliot won National League Manager of the Week, and will want to win another one with a victory this weekend.
