MATCH PREVIEW | BROADFIELDS UNITED

So, what’s the Buzz?

Barnet go into this Middlesex Senior Cup game off the back of progressing through to the second round of the FA Cup, having beaten Curzon Ashton on Saturday.

Looking to extend their home unbeaten run, Barnet will have to come out victorious against Broadfields United tomorrow night.

Club Profile:
Club Name: Broadfields United
Nickname: The Fighting Cocks
Founded: 1993
Ground: Tithe Farm
Manager: Sunny Tailor
League: Combined Counties League – Premier Division North
League Position: 5th
Form: DWLWW

Opposition Report:
Broadfields haven’t had the best of starts to their season, getting knocked out of the FA Cup and losing their first league game. Form picked up after that with a six-game win streak, consisting of 16 goals scored and five conceded.

After losing a league game 8-0 in October, Broadfields are finding their feet again, winning their last two games 3-0 and 3-2, with the 3-2 including a 99th-minute winner which will undoubtedly boost the team’s morale.

One to Watch: Kristian Swaby
Playing anywhere from right-back to number 10, Swaby is a versatile player- and one of the most creative in the Broadfields team.

Scoring four goals and assisting five in his last 13 games, Swaby will be ready to get on the ball and threaten The Bees as much as he can.

In the Dugout: Sunny Tailor
Back in March, Sunny Tailor and Ryan Duffy both took control of the side as joint-interim managers with the view of steering the side clear of relegation. The two surpassed these expectations, helping the team to a 12th-placed finish.

At the end of the season, he was given the managerial role on a permanent basis, and while he has experience at youth level, this is his first job as a men’s first-team coach.
