Match Preview: Harrow Borough (A)

The Bees are back in action on Tuesday evening (19:30), as they travel to Harrow Borough in their final pre-season friendly to compete for the Harrow Cup.

Our hosts get their season underway in the Southern League Premier Division South on Saturday against Yate Town and will be looking to bring some momentum into the season with a victory over Harry Kewell’s side in the Harrow Cup.

FIXTURE DETAILS:

Harrow Borough vs Barnet FC

Tuesday, August 10th – 19:30 KO

Earlsmead Stadium

Manager: Steve Baker

Last Season: 7th in Southern League Premier Division South

First Fixture: Yate Town (H) – Saturday 14th August

Harrow Borough played seven league matches last season due to the Coronavirus pandemic cutting the campaign short. During this time they managed one win, two draws and four defeats, scoring 11 goals and conceding 14 in the process. The Boro, like many non-league clubs, will be looking forward to an uninterrupted campaign, as football in the UK looks to return back to some form of ‘normality.

THE BEES:

Harry Kewell’s side will take on Harrow Borough at the Earlsmead Stadium in what will be the final pre-season fixture, ahead of the 2021/22 season. The Bees fought hard to a 1-1 draw against Tottenham Hotspur U23s at the weekend and will be aiming to go one step further with victory at our London neighbours. During the last 24 hours, Kewell has added some more firepower to the squad with the addition of versatile winger, Daniel Powell, who could make his debut in black and amber on Tuesday evening.

The Bees are creeping towards the season opener against Notts County, with the ‘Harrow Cup’ acting as an exciting opportunity for the players to get some more match fitness under their belt before kicking off the season on the 21st of August.
