One to watch: Ben Tollitt

Ben Tollitt has been the main man for Oldham this season. The forward is the top goal scorer for the club this season with five league goals.

Tollitt started his career with Widnes where he scored 18 goals in 39 appearances. After a brief season with Skelmersdale United, the striker signed for Portsmouth. Game time was limited with Pompey and he went out on loan to Tranmere Rovers. Tranmere signed Tollitt permanently at the end of his loan spell and would make 67 appearances for the club before joining Blackpool. In 2020 the Englishman signed for AFC Fylde where he scored 15 goals in two seasons for the club before signing for Oldham this summer.

In the dugout: David Unsworth

The Everton legend took over from John Sheridan at Oldham in September after a poor start to the season from The Latics. Unsworth has had experience as caretaker manger of Preston North End and Everton as well as permanent manger of the Everton U23’s. The Oldham job is his first permanent management role for a clubs first team. In his first seven league games with the club he has won just once which came against Yeovil Town.
