Rossi Eames & Henry Newman: “Three points is a huge thank you to everybody”

Rossi Eames and Henry Newman paid tribute to all the players and staff after Barnet stretched their unbeaten league run with a 1-0 win at in-form Yeovil Town.
Alex Nicholls secured the win five minutes from time, drilling across the face of goal and into the far bottom corner to spark pandemonium among the 147 travelling Bees supporters.
Victory leaves Barnet outside of the EFL League Two play-off places on goal difference and unbeaten in eight league matches.
Speaking after the win, Eames said: "Yes it’s certainly the ideal start – a clean sheet and three points away from home. Myself and Henry are absolutely delighted.
"The whole team in there is absolutely buzzing in there at the moment. Every single player that travelled and every member of staff is in a good place."
He added: "The players are absolutely thrilled. There’s a really good vibe in there and there has been for a while now.
"They’re just delighted and we’re delighted because a lot of hard work has gone in over the last eight or nine days – staff and players – everyone has been so helpful at the football club.
"To come to Yeovil on the run they’re on and go back with three points is a huge thank you to everyone."
Newman was quick to praise the Bees’ defensive efforts following a win which owed much to a solid team performance.
"They had been on a good run of form as well so we weren’t expecting to come here [and dominate]," Newman said.
"We had a very good first half but we weren’t necessarily expecting to continue that throughout the whole game; they were going to have a sustained spell in the second half.
"You could say we rode our luck at times but there are 11 players on the pitch and you have to beat all 11 players to score a goal.
"The back four, the two central midfielders in front of them and Jamie Stephens in goal; the defensive work they put in in the second half was absolutely outstanding."
