Sam Barratt to join Barnet FC

Barnet FC is delighted to announce that winger, Sam Barratt will join the Club ahead of the 2023/24 season.

The 27-year-old played over 170 games for Maidenhead United across two spells with club, scoring 41 goals.

Barratt started his career at Bracknell Town before moving to Maidenhead in 2014. He would go on to help them achieve promotion to the National League in 2017. After just a single season in the National League, Barratt made the jump to League One with Southend United.

Barratt suffered a serious cruciate ligament injury shortly after signing for The Shrimpers and returned to Maidenhead where he scored 15 goals in his first season back with The Magpies.

Barnet FC manager Dean Brennan said: “I’m delighted to be welcome Sam (Barratt) to the Club.

“He’s a player we’ve been tracking for a while now. He’s a proven goal scorer in this division and adds quality in an already strong area for us.”

Sam Barratt added: “It was the right move for me at the right time.

“After the conversations (with Dean Brennan) and the good season (Barnet had last campaign), promotion has got to be the push. I’m hoping to go out there and have a good season, bring goals to the team and help us push to the top of the table.”

The deal is subject to the usual regulatory processes.
