MATCH REPORT | SOLIHULL MOORS 2-2 BARNET FC

A late Solihull Moors equaliser cancelled out Barnet’s first half turnaround in a 2-2 draw in front of the TNT Sport cameras on Good Friday.

Dean Brennan named one change to the starting XI that beat Dorking Wanderers 6-0 last time out. Adam Thompson came in for Gatlin O’Donkor.

The Bees had an early chance inside two minutes of the game. Corner ball found Reece Hall-Johnson who’s strike was blocked from close range. The Moors went straight down the other end with Joe Sbarra putting a shot just wide of goal.

The Moors found the opener inside ten minutes when James Clarke headed the ball beyond Laurie Walker from a corner.

Barnet came close to an equaliser on the half hour mark when Dale Gorman’s corner found Adam Thompson who headed the ball into the arms of Nick Hayes.

Nicke Kabamba levelled the game with a goal of the season contender. The forward excellently chessed the ball with his back to goal before volleying the ball beyond Hayes in the Solihull goal.

The Barnet attack kept on coming with Kabamba having another two chances to complete the turnaround just minutes after the equaliser. The first attempt was blocked before the second went narrowly wide of goal.

Brennan’s side did take the lead before the break through Adam Thompson. Gorman’s corner found the defender who struck the ball into the back of the net to complete the first half comeback.
